Happy 4th of July

We had a pretty nice 4th of July. The boys and I went to church, James stayed home with Chris because he had a horrible runny nose and I thought that the kids in nursery did not need to be around that. Chris smoked a very delicious pork tenderloin ad it was so good, h says it is the best he has ever made, I think everything he makes is great, but this was especially delicious. We then went to a friends house for diner and had some more very yummy food. I made a berry cobbler, and Chris' favorite food- Bierocs. We had a lot of fun with our friends and played some games instead of going to watch the fireworks, since it was raining and storming. The kids were pretty disappointed that we couldn't go see them, but we didn't want to sit under the rain. The kids had fun eating mostly desserts and soda and hot dogs and playing with their friends. Overall it was a good day and I am very happy to be living in this wonderful Country with all it's freedoms. We are very blessed to be here. James and I after church, the older boys took off their patriotic shirts as soon as we walked in the door, so they weren't in the picture.

Lucas' Tummy Time and Smiles

I had a really cute video, but I could not figure out how to put it on, it wasn't working when I tried it. So here are a few pictures.
He is 7 weeks old in these pictures. He had a good time on his tummy, I had him on his tummy for quite awhile and he did great, we are trying to do that everyday so he can get used to it.
He really liked the blanket, he kept holding on to it . He also moves his feet a lot and it looks like he is trying to go somewhere.

He is so darn cute, I thought I would try and get me in a picture, but he is way more cute!!
His worried look.
Cute little smile, he just started doing this about 1 week ago and it is so darn cute, I love it! After he eats he will sit and talk to you and smile and chew on his hands. I am going to miss this stage, but there is always a new stage that is great as well.

Arms are always flailing about.
He is so cute!!

Mikey's first sleep over party

Mikey had his first sleep over party at age nine, that is when we let Shawn finally have a sleepover and Mikey has been waiting and waiting til he could have one. He did have a friend over the week before, but it wasn't a party he says. I was a little nervous to have five 8-9 year old boys sleep at my house, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.Happy Birthday Mikey! We had his party a little late this year, with having a baby and all, I wasn't quite ready until now.
So silly, can't ever get him to make a straight face, reminds me of my brothers.

Crazy boys, they had a lot of fun. We had pizza for dinner (which I really thought that they would eat a lot of pizza, because Mikey usually eats a ton and I know the other boys do too. So Chris got 6 pizzas and the boys and the rest of our family only ate 2 total- needless to say we were eating pizza for the next few days, I am soooo sick of it!) and then they played Nerf Wars with all their Nerf guns, it was throughout the whole house and very loud and chaotic, but they had a lot of fun and it was fun watching them. We then watched a movie for a little while til his friend Caleb got there and then we had cake and ice cream and opened presents.

Make a wish!

Then it was off to the pool at 9:30 PM, the boys had a lot of fun in the dark and the whole pool to themselves.

They all slept in the basement, well a couple of them slept three of them were up til til the wee hour in the morning,we had to keep going down to tell them to be quiet, we could hear them laughing and jumping and playing music all the way up in my room. They did have fun though! And they also woke up at 7:30 AM, I wasn't expecting that at all. I made them chocolate chip pancakes.

Lucas at 3 weeks

These are some of the 200 hundred pictures my mom took of Lucas and some of me and Lucas. Thanks mom you got some good shots.

Thank You!!

I want to do a special post to say thank you to those who have come to help me after having Lucas. Chris' mom, Becky came to help with the kids while I was in the hospital, and that was wonderful. My mom, Jolene came to help while Chris was out of town one week. And my sister, Lissa came to help me entertain the other children while I was out of commission. And of course to all my wonderful friends that have brought great meals and gifts. Thank you to you all!! You made this pregnancy and the recovery much easier.Aunt Lissa

Lucas- 2 weeks old

His first bath, he was ok with it at first, but it didn't last very long then he started screaming.

He did like it when we put the towel around him though.

What a sweetie pie!
