Mikey had his first sleep over party at age nine, that is when we let Shawn finally have a sleepover and Mikey has been waiting and waiting til he could have one. He did have a friend over the week before, but it wasn't a party he says. I was a little nervous to have five 8-9 year old boys sleep at my house, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
Happy Birthday Mikey! We had his party a little late this year, with having a baby and all, I wasn't quite ready until now.
So silly, can't ever get him to make a straight face, reminds me of my brothers.
Crazy boys, they had a lot of fun. We had pizza for dinner (which I really thought that they would eat a lot of pizza, because Mikey usually eats a ton and I know the other boys do too. So Chris got 6 pizzas and the boys and the rest of our family only ate 2 total- needless to say we were eating pizza for the next few days, I am soooo sick of it!) and then they played Nerf Wars with all their Nerf guns, it was throughout the whole house and very loud and chaotic, but they had a lot of fun and it was fun watching them. We then watched a movie for a little while til his friend Caleb got there and then we had cake and ice cream and opened presents.

Then it was off to the pool at 9:30 PM, the boys had a lot of fun in the dark and the whole pool to themselves.
They all slept in the basement, well a couple of them slept three of them were up til til the wee hour in the morning,we had to keep going down to tell them to be quiet, we could hear them laughing and jumping and playing music all the way up in my room. They did have fun though! And they also woke up at 7:30 AM, I wasn't expecting that at all. I made them chocolate chip pancakes.

I remember my first sleepover party... i felt so grown up.. it sounds like they had a lot of fun. what a great mom to make them choco pancakes the next morning too. looks like mikey had a lot of good friends.
